Mechanical joint integrity is the discipline of assembling and managing bolted connections so they hold under pressure, temperature and load. Leaks and joint failures are a leading cause of loss of containment on industrial sites, so operators increasingly require documented MJI competency before personnel work on flanged systems.
This programme is practical and assessment-led. Learners work on real flange and bolting equipment to build and prove the competencies that matter on site, rather than sitting through theory alone.
What you’ll cover
Flange and joint types, gaskets and seating principles
Controlled bolting: hand torque and tensioning techniques
Correct tool selection, calibration and safe use
Joint assembly, tightening sequence and inspection
Documentation and traceability of completed joints
