An internationally recognised safety programme to develop the skills needed to build the competence and confidence required to plan and execute a safe, effective rescue under pressure from a confined space, assessed to ECITB standards and delivered in Bahrain.

COURSE CONTENT

What this course covers

The ECITB Confined Space Rescue course provides learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely perform rescue operations in confined space environments. The course focuses on hazard awareness, emergency planning, atmospheric testing, rescue equipment, breathing apparatus, casualty recovery techniques, and the application of first aid principles during confined space emergencies, culminating in an assessment requiring a minimum pass mark of 80%.

What you’ll cover

  • Introduction to confined space rescue
  • Relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice
  • Permit-required confined spaces and permit-to-work systems
  • Atmospheric and physical hazards
  • Hazard recognition, exposure symptoms, and control measures
  • Atmospheric testing and gas monitoring
